Knot Crass came from behind in the stretch run to score a hard earned victory in the last few yards in the third race. Private Seth just lasted to annex the verdict in the fourth after leading the way throughout. Becky Sue having been crowded back after the start was forced to work her way up on the outside and coming fast in the final eighth overhauled Ieter llrush and would have won from Private Seth in another stride. In the sixth Illustrator registered an easy-win over .Nettie May and Miss Vaal coming from behind in the final eighth to win by a good margin at the end. Nettie May out-gamed Miss Vaal for second place in the final test. Tis Seth furnished a surprise in annexing the closing race in a close finish, in which lietsy l.acon was pressing the leader closely near the end. Lucky Run managed to save the short portion of the purse. a
