PIMLIC0 TURF NOTES $ $ PIMLICO, Md., May 2. News of the death of Mrs. Dabner, proprietor of the Herman Hotel in Baltimore, where many of the horsemen made their headquarters, was received today. Elmer Trueman received an addition to his string in the two-year-old Fountain Boy, the property of Howard Bruce. Fountain Boy bucked his shins during the Bowie meeting and was sent to Truemans place at Laurel. Truemans plans are to ship here to Belmont Park, and at the conclusion of that meeting will entrain for Arlington Park. W. E. Caskey, Jr., announced that he would ship his horses from here to Bain-bridge Park instead of to Canada. He will take Unusual and Sergeant Donaldson with him for E. Holland, the Atlantic City sportsman. Track conditions did not prevent trainer Freddie Hopkins from breezing Equipoise this morning. The Whitney colt was sent a mile and a furlong in 2:01, the mile in 1:47. The following notice was handed out by secretary Frank J. Bryan: The Consolation Steeplechase, which is named in the book of the meeting as one of the events for Saturday, May 9, will be run on Friday, May 8. This change has been made to enable the tracks patrons to have full use of the infield Saturday, Preakness Day, without chance of accident or interference of any sort. Entries for the Consolation Steeplechase will close Wednesday, May 6, at the usual hour. Luncheon parties in the club house included Mrs. Jennings Hackett and Miss Josephine Watson, guests of A. Hennen Morris, steward of the Jockey Club, New York. William W. Woodward, New York, party of six. Charles R. Fleischmann, New York, six; Mr. and Mrs. R. J.
