PRINCETONIAN was in close quarters while racing on the inside on the far turn and was required to ease, then came to the outside in the stretch to close up fast near the end and to win going away. FIRST SHANNON moved between horses in the last sixteenth and finished with good courage. FLYING RECORD was sent into a good early lead and held on gamely in the final test. SWIVEL HIPS was well up all the way in a creditable effort. LAST WORD loomed up on the inside entering the final fifty yards. WATCH IT GROW weakened in the stretch. HUGO YOU GO was badly outrun. SKEPTICAL KID went to the front at once and. j withstanding a challenge from COLONEL WILSON nearing the stretch turn and another from ALMAS HEART at midstretch, drew out in the last sixteenth. HOOP BAND dropped back slightly nearing the stretch turn, but came strongly in the final furlong and was gaining. ALMAS HEART saved ground around the turn to loom up as a possible winner an eighth out, but faltered in the final drive. DERBY JOHN was always outrun. MARKET TIP made up some ground in the stretch. SCRIPT BAR was badly outrun and passed tiring horses. SPECIFIC and FREE TOO were through after racing a half mile. Scratched— 33924 Witch-English, 111. MILK BARON went to the front soon after the start to open up a good lead and held on with determination in the tsretch drive. KING CHARLES trailed to the stretch but finished well. KAYS CHILDREN weakened after making a mild move nearing the stretch turn. CLOUDY DAY failed to be a serious threat. EDENITE had early speed. Scratched— 505881 Auroch, 117.
