weighted filly at once rushed to the front and at the quarter lea by two lengths Sullross Soulless and Redskin lying second and third At the half Redskin had his head in front of Sullross Soulless with the filly still a length and a half in front There was no change at the threequarters treasurers but in the stretch Redskin showed in front with Sullross Soulless second a head in front of Lillian E The three came on together Red ¬ skin next the rail Lillian E in the middle and Sullross Soulless on the outside At the sixteenth pole Soden Sodden on the favorite tried to draw his whip but he bungled badly and let go his horses head Little Hathersall Heathers on the filly = at still riding with his hands and legs and in a desperate fin ish dish he got home first by a neck with Sullross Soulless the same distance in front of Redskin The close finish must be taken as a triumph forthehandi forehead capper though Redskin with a competent jockey could not have lost lostThe clothe The
