FLORENCE P BREAKS DOWN G W Pooles Poles good mare Florence P broke down in the fourth race at Ideal Park yester ester ¬ day She had only Sullross Soulless to beat and from the race he ran it looks as though the mare would have won had she stood up Florence P has been a great local favorite and won many e hard fought race in and around Chicago She will be sent to Eugene Leighs Sleighs La Belle Stud to be bred to Bramble BrambleYesterdays Yesterdays racing was full of life the first second and fourth events furnishing tingling bets of contention before they were decided Before the first race Elsie Ferguson ran away three miles and Proverb got away from his rider and covered two miles before he could be stopped When the field did get away Little Eye a 30 to 1 shot was in front and stayed there winning by a nose from the favorite May Ashby Ashy AshbyMuriel Muriel T a 30 to 1 chance won the last race all off by herself but the judicial eyes saw her foul Minnie Miller at the eighth polo and dis dais ¬ qualified her The foul if there was one could not possibly have taken place at the eighth pole for at that point Muriel T was two lengths in front of her field Minnie Miller ridden by Clay was given the race Clay has been in the habit of claiming foul whenever he was beaten He made a claim against Little Dorritt Diorite in the fourth race
