peculiar ¬ arly early run race The first four at the finish seemed to be hopelessly beaten at the head of tha than stretch The bunch in front though seemed to stop at about the same time and below the eighth pole there was a eeneral enterable change of positions McNickle Canticle on Canace Cancel skinned the rails at the head of the stretch and saved a lot of ground otherwise she could not have won Mr Johnson after a lot of bumping and interference came out of the bunch like rain from the c uds buds and was closing fast at the finish Doremus Dorms on the outside was also closing strong Ach Bach is a coward He was well in motion when the barrier went up and always had clear sailing At the head of the stretch he seemed to be galloping Native Son and Pat Cleburne Claiborne both stopped very outrunning Mary Black the first part of it The latter ran an honest race but with weight up does not seem to have a possible chance to beat Abuse Belle of Memphis was worsted a lot at the start As the race was run and the amount of ground this filly mada madam up it looks as though she surely would have beaten Mary Black and given Abuse a stout argument This is a good filly and deserves attention
