At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won driving; second the same. Mrs. Gran-nan was driving to the limit all of the last furlong, was tiring at the end and had all she could do to stall off Ranco. The latter came all around his field, finished with a rush and was running past horses at the end. Premus saved ground all the way and hung on gamely when the pinch came. Throstle was interfered with in the run down the backstretch and was in close quarters in the last furlong. Waninta quit as if short. Sweet Charity showed early speed. Lady Meddlesome got off well and showed the most speed all the way, but had to be hustled along at the end to stall off Major Dixon. Matthews hugged the inner rail with the latter, saved ground at the turns and hung on gamely in the last eighth. Adelanto was outrun in the lirst half, but went all around his field while rounding the far turn, finished very strongly and was gaining on the leaders at the end. Ice Water was on the outside all the way. Frivol tired and quit as if short. Throw out Obstinate Simons race. It was much out of line. Christine A. was used up in chasing Mary Glenn and tired when called on. Sinner Simon was bumped into soon after the start and was in a pocket to the home turn.
