NOTES OF THE TURF. Two-year-old races in England are also on the increase. Last year 516 races for that age were run against 508 in 1901. Of those run last year, 442 were at distances under six furlongs. Bixty-four at six furlongs and ten at a mile. In 1900 there were 497 races for two-year-olds decided in England. Having satisfactorily explained his ride on Alfred C. to the stewards at New Orleans, Winkfield was restored yesterday to good standing as a jockey. W. H. Landsman has turned his good horse Hernando over to Pat Dunne for training this year. Ben My Chree, dam of Cap and Bells, has foaled a fine bay colt by Commando. H. Z., Chicago.
