Agnes Brennan broke well in motion and showed the most early speed, but Gannon was overconfident and lost the race by not going to work sooner. I Must ran well, but tired in the stretch drive. Mordella ran fairly well only. The others were never dangerous. Overweights J. P. Mayberry, 1 pound; Agnes Brennan, 1; Gus Heidorn, 3i. J. P. Mayberry, show, out. Agnes Brennan, show, out. She ran her race and had no mishaps. Duelist was outfooted for the entire trip. Charley Thompson was interfered with at the first turn and would have been closer up but for tins. The latter came very wide at the turn into the homestretch. McCafferty took her all around her field and she came very fast in the last sixteenth and was catching the winner at even stride. Attila was outrun in the first half and was crowded back soon after the start, but came fast in the stretch. Anti Trust and Burgoyne ran well to the stretch. Bellario ran in improved form.
