Becretary Mac-farlan announces that the stew:irds of the Western Jockey Club have granted the dates April 15 to May 8, twenty one days, for the Spring meeting of the New Memphis Jockey Club. Ten stakes fop iiiis meeting will close meuday next. Secretary Macfarma says it is net expected that the r-gisia- tnie will pass the jiroposed measure antagonistic In racing. However, if the Faust bill should becoiuo a law and the meeting thereby an impossibility the stakes will he declared off and entrance money, refunded.
