William Karrick, the trainer of the stable, is iblj Bltuated for the winter, having a large. contort title stable on the baekatretch s4 Sheepshead Bay. There Is a wnle shed seveo laps of which stake ooa mile, and lure the hoses of the stable get ilailj exercise regardless of the weather conditions. The appointments of the stable are flrst- • ia-- throughout. The two-year-olds were all bought as yearlings last summer by Mr. Knapp and good prices were paid, one of the besl looking of the juveniles is a chestnut coll by Hoolsthorpe Truth, the dam of Ladj [lolyr I. lie COSl more than any of the others, his price being ,300. He has the makeup of ■ decidedly useful horse, and looks like coining lo band early. He has plenty of size and qua lit] and will lik.lv be named for the JuveoUe events at Aqueduct and Jamaica. If the chestnut gelding by Oesartoa, out of Armlel. lM.nght for 80OO. does as well in his two-year-old year as his. alf brother, Armament, did at the same age, he wHl more than pay his way. With good head and neck, fine middle piece and immense quarters be presents s very racy appearance and ought to come to band early. The star of the Bllles in the string, if not of the entire coUeetioo, Is the brown tilly hv Si. Sic wss well tried last fall. She is eligible for the Fashion Slakes. The Lay tilh In 1allierless fwiisse shows many good points and has size and quality to recommend her. She u.is highly tried last fall and showed a high turn of speed. A siniill but well made miss is the chestnut filly by Ornament Gase, She is not quite up to the standard of tl tlurs in size and quality, but looks like being fast. Among the older horses Kiameaha, Clare Russell and Royal ln. are in the best of condition. Kiamesha. which was something of a disappointment last year, gets exercise on the track almost every day, being led by a boy on a pony.
