CHARLES EDWARDS LATEST RECORD. Charles Edwards mile and an eighth in 1:50J in the Seagate Stakes at Brighton Beach yesterday is a new American record, being two-fifths of a second faster than Bonniberts 1:31, made when lie was running in tlie colors of F. J. Farrell and heat Tom Kenny a nose for the Islip Handicap at Brighton Beach, July 30, 1902. Bonnibert was a four-year-old and carried 120 pounds, whereas Charles Edward Is a three-year-old and had up 120 pounds yesterday. The beet previous mile, and an eighth this year was Sailor Boys 1:52J, when he won at 10 to 1 at Gravesend May 23. Sailor Boy Is live years old and carried eighty-seven pounds that day.
