WHITE EAGLE BEST TWO-YEAR-OLD. W. Hall Walkers While Eagle, by Gallinulc Merry Gal, winner of the National Breeders Pro- duce Stakes at Sandown Park Saturday is quite apt to be 1he favorite for the Derby of 100S in England. A few days before his latest victory an expert racing critic, writing for London Sporting Life, said of this colt: "White Eagle is the best two-year-old seen out up to the present, and he has such fine length In his quarters and forearms that there is every prospect of his remaining champion to the end." The fact that Rhodora ran this colt to a head for the Stakes last Saturday makes it all the more certain that Richard Croker has in the half-sister to his Derby winner, Orliy, a filly of real high quality, and Americans may expert to hear of splendid achievements on the part of this daughter of St. Frusquin and Rhoda B. Rhodora is well engaged, holding liabilities in many rich stakes, including the Berkshire, to be run- Friday at Newbury, the famous Gimcrack Stakes, to bo run at York August 20, the Middle Park Plate, October IS, and Dewhurst Plate, October SI. Another bit of news from the other side is that Orliy is now taking matters easily in Ireland prior to receiving a special preparation for the St. Leger, which is to lie run at Doneastcr Wednesday, September 11.
