NOTES OF THE TURF. Peter MacDonald, one of the stockholders in the Empire City Club, died at sea last week. He had been touring Europe and was homeward bound. Tangle and Sally K. are out of training. They have been shipped to John E. Maddens .Hamburg Place near Lexington, Ky. Leo Mayer, the bookmaker, and Phocion Howard, a newspaper man, came to blows in a restaurant at Saratoga Tuesday night. No damage save to furniture and feelings. Kentucky horsemen believe that had Mr. Keene sent Sysonby to the farm at the first sign of his disease, as he has done with Peter Pan, the great son of Melton would have lived and would have been racing now.
