ELECTIONEER AT BRIGHTON BEACH. New York; August 20. William Lakeland has got back to Brighton Beach with his horses. He had Electioneer, Question Mark and one or two others at Saratoga. Electioneer came back apparently much benefited by his sojourn at the Spa, but Question Mark is in poor condition and may not be ready for his early engagements at tlie Bay. Lakeland, however, believes that in Question Mark he has a high-class colt and predicts that he will win some stakes with him when he returns to form. Electioneer will probably be worth watching, too. The Voter colt is of a highly nervous temperament, which was responsible for his poor performances early in the season, but he will tone down with the arrival of cool weather. Had Lakeland had his own way. Electioneer would not have been sent to the post for weeks after he was sent out for his first appearance this season.
