WILL NOT QUIT THE JUMPERS. Concerning the report that lie would retire from steeplechasing, Thomas Hitchcock, Jr., said at Saratoga Wednesday: "Nothing is further from my thoughts. I have only two horses left to race tills fall, but I expect to race them when I can. I expect to go abroad to hunt this winter, and will lie in England until well into the spring, so my plans for next year are not well defined yet, but I expect to continue to race -steeplechasers."
