RESPESS SELLS HIS LATONIA STOCK. Cincinnati, O., September 24. George B. Cox. the politician and banker, yesterday bought a one-fourth interest in the Latonia Jockey Club from J. B. Respess. Respess and Rhinock together controlled oyer 50 per cent of the stock and Cox and Rhinock now control. Mr. Cox said tonight that he bought the stock to prevent It from falling into other peoples bands, but it is generally believed that he bought it for the Cella-Adler-Tilles syndicate. If lie did, with what they own now, they will control the track. Respess said ho sold the stock because he was held responsible for everything that went wrong, even when he had nothing at all to do with some of the affairs for which he was given credit. The price he received for bis stock is not known, but it is estimated at 0,000. Respess Intends to quit the poolroom business and devote all of his time to breeding and racing horses.
