JOHN REIFF STILL SLOW AT POST. When the barrier ascended at the start of the St. I.eger, Septcmlier 12, says the London Sporting. Life. J. Reiff. who rode the French candidate. Roi Ilerode. was apparently not quite ready, and thereby lost several lengths, but the French twit made up the lost ground at such a pace that he was in front when the field had covered half a mile. Evidently the same old Johnny, whose great fault in his late American riding days was post sloth. For It. Ed Corrigan and he parted.
