Potent had an inside position at the post and left the barrier swerving, but dashed to the front and vpened a winning lead in the first quarter, but was tiring at the end and driving to the limit to stall off Ierfcctor. The latter broke slowly and was carried wide on the first turn, but closed a big gap and was wearing the winner dow.i at the end. Helen II. The Belle, carried wide on the far turn, finished gamely under punishment and outstayed Rcdoudo. The latter slipped through next to the rail when entering the homestretch while the others went wide and was tiring in the stretcli run. J. AV.
