WHITNEY HORSES SELL WELL. New York, October 19.-- Yearlings and horses in training were sold at auction in the paddock here today. The majority of the thoroughbreds put on the block from the stable of II. P. Whitney brought good prices. Paul Balney purchased Perseverance for ,300; .T. W. Colt paid 1907.sh,500 for Ironsides; Mombassa went to M. Kraus for ,000; Parkview was secured by A. F. Mathews for ,500, and Paumonok went to J. F. McCauleys barn in consideration of ,000.
