Miss Delaney worked through a rough luslde journey Into a fast going second. Suu-glcam, away badly, closed an immense gap on the extreme outside and made a cyclonic finish. Miss Mazzoni, shuffled lo the rear early, closed up rapidly on the inside, but succumbed for third place in the , laat stride of a cracking race. laue Swift broke poorly uud ran prominently iu the middle running, but quit at the end. Sussex loomed up menacingly on the last turn,, then Ured. Tilekllns broke slowly and showed early speed, but failed to stay as if short. The winner was entered for 1,000; no bid. Zipango, nfter being badly outpaced by the two leaders for five furlongs, ranged alongside the liacemaker on the far turn and Miller outmaneuvered and outfinished Martin, winning out fiually on .the second best horse after a terrific drive. Summer Cloud raced into a tremendous lead and. despite excessive use, held on witli marvelous gameness, was much the best and is a coming good one. Tramp was well up throughout and a fast going third. Oraculum was exhausted after five furlongs of strenuous pursuit of- Summer Cloud and quit very badly. Rosimiro broke well and closed up rapidly on the outside into clear sailing and pinched the pacemaker off in the stretch, stealing a long lead, but just lasted out to win and finished quitting badly. Bouquet helped force the tiace to the stretch, where she was crossed sharply by Rosimiro, biit came again with a rush and just failed to get up. Aunt Rose closed a big gap in the last half and was going like a cyclone at the end. Sir John Johnson, prominent for five furlongs, "quit unexpectedly in the closing drive. Rcene W. was well up throughout and going fast at the end. Ardri also finished well.. Julia Powel showed brilliant speed for a half mile, then quit badly. Lajeunesse. nearly left, closed a big gap. Dolly Spanker got away poorly and closed a big gap gradually, but was carried out on the last turn by Rye, which he outstayed finally for third place.. Rye,, within striking distance of the pacemakers in the early running, tired in the closing drive and was palpably short. Harris closed up steadily in the first mile, but the pace was too fast and lie failed to stay. Flavigny got away poorly and-was badly messed r.DiUt. Red Friar was gaining in the last half. Consistent, badly ridden, dropped out of serious coutention quickly and finished with a belated stretch rush. Lady Chiswell showed superior early speed and held on veil.
