CALIFORNIA RACING GOSSIP. San Francisco, Cal., October 25. E. J. Ramsey has tii ken up his four-year-old horse, Cascade of Diamonds, which has not raced for some time, and the horse is going along nicely. "Tobe" says lie lias bought three hundred acres adjoining his three-lmndred-acre ranch near Ilayward, Cal., which would indicate that things were coming pretty good for tills popular horseman. Hall and Marshall have takenup their stable, of which Hector and Wee Lass are the best horses, and will soon have them fit for the races. The stable of M. J. Daly arrived today from Windsor. Webber and J. W. ONeill, belonging to E. Trotter, came on the same car. W- B. Jennings has sold San Nicholas to "Butch" Fisher, who has been handling him for Jennings. Fisher is interested in a racing way with "Facky" Ryan, who owned the horse when he won the Opening Handicap two years ago. James Neil has named his Greenock Wrinkles colt. Lookout, , and says the name should be a watchword for the other owners when he starts him. A carload of horses arrived yesterday from Walla Walla, Wash. The horses belong to G. W. Dodge and Johnson and Dodson. Roy Caruthcrs lias not a horse at the track this year and says he is going to play them from the ground. Celeres has been gelded and is expected to redeem himself as a racer during the winter. Trainer Covington, of the- Sobra Vista Stable, will handle some yearlings for Rudolph Spfeckels this winter, ne is expecting them up from the Napa Stud in a few days. Jockey Joe Kelly is the latest recruit to the riding brigade.
