Leonora G., away fast and saving much ground all the way, wore Bender down iu the stretch and came away in the last furlong to win cantering. Speed Marvel, away slowly, gained steadily after going a ouarter and, finishing fast, was an easy second. Bender was speedy and had no mishaps and tired after setting the pace for a half. Pension was prominent for the first half and was tiring in the last quarter. Nettie Z. came from a long way back. Talent had a rough trip and was forced wide most of the way. Martius ran well, but tired after going three-quarters. Noel was going well at the end and closed a big gap. Peter Nathaniel was in a jam in the first half and would have lccn much closer up with clear sailing. Dorasette was crowded soon after the start aud lost much ground. Edwin Gum put up a good performance and, finishing gamely, outstayed Redgauntlet in the closing drive for second place. Redgauntlet showed improved form, followed the early leaders close up, but tired slightly in the stretch. Sea Salt closed a gap and finished gamely. Charlatan appeared a certain winner after wearing Viperine down in the first half, but tired in the last quarter. Little Elkin came with a rush in the last quarter after trailing the others far back for a half. Viperine sltowed superior early speed, but tired fast in the last quarter. Harry Scott suffered from interference and can do much better. Docile acted stiff and sore when going to the post and ran poorly. Filler showed speed, but tired in the lasc half.
