JJenecho set the pace all the way and could have won off by himself, but Musgrave drew the finish dangerously line. Lord Stanhope finished gamely under a long drive and was the only one to offer serious contention. Consistent ran in suddenly improved form, but was a distant third. AVes did not appear able to extend himself freely in the going and his race .should be thrown out. Quiuu Brady quit badly and can do much better. The winner was entered for ,200: no bid. Tramp ran into the lead at once and showed a good turn of speed iu the going and easily outstayed Purslane for second place. Purslane was at home in the going and ran well to the stretch, but tired iu the Jinal drive. Smiling Tom and Tommy AVaddell tired after being prominent in the running. Yorkist finished gamely.
