MINTONS "BEST HORSE." Roger Minton, who trains for Samuel Lazarus, says the best horse in the stable which will appear under colors at New Orleans this winder is the little jockey, James Hogg, for whom Lazarus and Minton are already claiming great things. Jimmy Hogg lias been riding regularly for Minton during the past summer, and, while some of his work has been disappointing to his employer, that good judge of riders says he is sure to become one ot the best in the saddle anywhere next year. He is a little fellow of more than average brightness, good manners, exemplary habits and a natural rider. He can ride at less than ninety pounds, and that will be a big factor in his favor at New Orleans.
