LOUISVILLE TRACKS PASSED BY. Louisville, Ky., December 9. After a two days session of wrangling and discussion, tlie State Board of Agriculture has finally decided to purchase the McDonald site of 150 acres which adjoins Shawnee Park just west of this city as the permanent home of the State Fair. The purchase of other sites, as well as both of the race tracks here, Churchill Downs and Douglas Park, were thoroughly canvassed but the fact that the McDonald tract could be secured for 1907.sh0,000, leaving a balance of 17,000 in the treasury and the fact that it is also near the city, were the controlling elements in reaching a final decision.
