SANTA ANITA TRACK FAST NEW TRACK RECORDS SCORED IN SEVERAL OF YESTERDAYS RACES. Frank Flittner Loses Through a Bad Start-Taylor George Wins Again Attendance Good and Improving. Los Angeles, Cal., December 10. An evenly .balanced card brought out a large crowd today, those present finding it a difficult matter to select the winners. The defeat of Waterbury was a hard blow to the talent, as he was regardedsas the best bet of the day, but he ran a dull race, finishing outside of the money. Burns bungled matters with him from the start, getting him away slowly and had him in several jams. With, better racing luck he should have won and should beat the same kind of horses the next time he starts. Starter Holtinan spoiled the second race by sending the .field away with Frank Flittner turned side-, ways. He was sent after the others and made up much ground and was fast wearing down Kilter In the closing strides, clearly proving that he was easily best. Speculation was much better than on Monday. The fifteenbooks did a fair business. R. F. Carmans three cars of horses from Emeryville arrived today. R. L. Thomas got in today and will remain for the winter. Jockey Shilling is delayed getting here on account of the sickness of his father. Jockey Horner will be here In a few days to ride for Messrs. Lawrence and Comstock.
