Angelus outclassed the others, ran into a long lead at once from a fast start and was never menaced, winning eased to a canter. Gee Whiz was a forward contender from the start and finished gamely. Stone-inan, always close up, gained near the end and took third place in the last few strides. Banridge followed Angelus close up to the stretch, but tired after going a half. Won easily; second and third driving. Colt-ness, away fast and favored Dy the stiff going, dashed into a long lead at once and, maintaining a fast pace, won all the way with plenty in reserve. Higginbotham, always close up, escaped interference, ran well and finished gamely. Anna Scott was always prominent and ran a good half before tiring. Bonart went wide into the stretch and tired fast in the last quarter. Glamor lacked early speed and ran far below her best form. The others suffered more or less by interference when Black Burn. Prince Fortu-uatus, Flowaway and Aestabella fell, caused by a mix-up and Black Burn stumbling. The winner was entered for ; no bid. Rickey, running in much improved form and away forwardly and favored by the stiff going, was prominent from the start and, when called on in the stretch, wore Tudor down and won going away. Tudor, away fast and showing superior speed, led by a good margin until in the final furlong, where he tired and. had to be hard ridden to retain second place. Light Note closed a gap steadily and finished gamely. Donna was in close pursuit of the leaders in the early stages, but was taken wide into the stretch and tired badly in the last sixteenth. De Reszke got away slowly, was never a serious contender and ran far helow his best form. Daring tired after goiug a half. The others were never serious contenders. Lajeunesse raced Ed Katie into defeat in the first three-quarters, but was in the worst going through the stretch and tired near the end. Ed Kane set a fast pace to the stretch turn, but tired after a sharp struggle with Lajeunesse. Hawkama was outpaced all the way and can do much better. Lucy Young was a prominent factor from the start, but" tired in the struggle through the stretch. Ralbert forced a fast pace in the early stages ant1 raced Coon into defeat after going a half, but tired in the last furlong from his earlv effort. Lord Stan-hope closed up much ground in the last half. Snow Ball ran fairly well and was close up at the end. Dr. Mack, away slowly, closed a big gap and ran a good race. Coon ran a good half and tired. Dargin ran poorly and is a sulker. Refined and Ann Hill were caught in a jam and went down. Approbation ran a bad race, was a distant trailer for the first three-quarters and went wide into the stretch, then finished with a rush. Katie Powers ran fairly well and liked the going. Mortiboy showed early speed, but ran a bad race and can do much better. The Claus-ican quit after going a half aud ran far below his best form.
