Ptnsted, well ridden and away fast forced the pace in the early stages and, saving ground when turning into the stretch, found an opening in the last furlong and drew out with plenty in reserve. Investor ran a good race and stayed gamely in the stretch run. Free Booter, from a slow beginning, gained steadily and finished resolutely. Sheen set the pace for the first half, but tired in the stretch. Matabon caiiK from a long way back in the last quarter. Delmore, away in a tangle, had scant hance with his poor rider and ran far below his best form. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 72100 Penrhyn, 110. Divorcee outclassed the others and, taking kindly to tiie go i tig, ran into a long lead when called on and won as her rider pleased. Sussex was prominent from the start, finished gamely and wore down Osmunda in the last furlong. Osmunda, away fast, showed superior speed for a half, but tired in the stretch. Sundart is showing steady Improvement and ran a good race. Helen Holland closed a big gap and can do muc.h better. Melange, taken wide part of the trip, ran fairly well. Sylvia G., away slowly, came with a rush in the last quartQr. Florence N. had no mishaps, being off poorly. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Miss Delaney was taken wide most of the way, but ran a good race afnd finished gamely, although tiring. Inauguration showed her usual order of speed and tired in the drive through the stretch. Lexington Lady ran fairly well. Orcna tired after early prominence. Whisk Broom ran a bad race and is evidently in poor form. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Bestcrling, practically left at the post, trailed the others far back in the early stages and suffered from interference when he attempted to move by Mortiboy and finally was forced to go wide, then came fast into second place. Drt McCluer had a rough trip and failed to respond to hard urging. Docile ran poorly and can do much better. Charlie Thompson quit after going three-quarters. Nine closed a gap.
