NATHANSON SUCCEEDS EGBERT. Oakland, Cal., December 10. Martin Nathanson is now the racing secretary and handicapper of the New California Jockey Club, meeting at Oakland. Horace Egliert has finally been forced to retire. He has decided to go to some hot climate as soon as lie is able to travel. His doctor has advised him to go south, cither to Santa Barbara or Arizona. Egbert has worked hard and unceasingly for the California Jockey Club for several years. He was at his iost at times when he should have been home. He Is in a critical condition and the chances against his recovery are many. - j
