LATONIA MAY HAVE A FAIR. Cincinnati, O., December 21. It is now pvoposed by stock breeders and others to hold a five-day district fair at Latonla next fall, to be known as the Northern Kentucky Fair and conducted on as large a scale as the State Fair at Louisville and the Blue Grass Fair at Lexington. The subject lias been broached to Harvey Myers, general manager of the Louisville Jockey Club and he thinks the plan a feasible one. Mr. Myers said last night: "The more I think of it the more I am convinced that a regular fair would prove to be a great attraction at Latonla. It would not cost a great deal to arrange the buildings for that purpose, and I think it would be a paying and popular venture. The only knotty point is to drop in at the right time, so as not to clash with any other fair. "Fairs are well patronized by all classes of people on both sides of the river, and Latonia will be able to give one of the best. Especially so as it lias a mile track, which is preferred by those who take part in or view speed contests. This matter will be taken up in the very near future, and if it can be done we will go ahead with the project."
