ANCESTRY OF A NEW WONDER. Old Timer, the two-year-old brown colt which equalled Lisaros time of l:37fc for a mile at Santa Anita Park last Wednesday, was sired by Elkhorn out of the Rayon dOr mare, Argent. Elkhorn is now in the stud of Grant Hugh Browne in Kentucky and is regarded as one of the handsomest stallions In the country. His dam Is In the Nursery Stud of August Belmont, and Old Tliner is her second foal, the chestnut filly, Bisque, by Belvidere, being the first. Elkhorn is by. Belvidere Elkhorn Lass, and a few more sons as fast as Old Timer would make liis services eagerly, sought.
