Won driving; second and third the same. Siume. lucky at the start, was away fast and. running straight, showed superior speed and outstayed Patriat in the closing strides, winning drawing clear. Patriot was always in closest pursuit and, aided bv a clear course, held on well in the closing strides. Roseburg II., probably best, was forced to go wide nio t of the way and finished with a tremendous rush. Ned Carmack was prominent most of the way and will improve when he realizes what is expected of him. John A. ran green and tired in the stretch. Dick oghill. on th*j extreme outside, ran a good race and was forced to go wide. The Slicker suffered from interference. Cuban Boy showed a flash of early speed. Won easily; second and third driving. Full of Fun, running to his best form and well ridden, raced Profitable into subjection in the first turn of the curse and, after a sharp brush to shake off Flying Plover, came away to win with something iu reserve, living Ilover was always in forward and game contention, fenced well and finished resolutely. Dacra. oiilnm in the early stages, came with a good burst of sjeed after clearing the last obstacle and finished fast. Dulcian showed improvement, but tired near the end. Profitable tired after showing the most speed for the first round of the field.- Kilhloe quit at the la«t two jumps. Buckman was overweighted. Dr. Heard closed a gap from a slow beginning. Creolin was away badly and timidly ridden. Aules unseated his rider at the third jump. Rural Boy got off badly and had to overcome much interference in the early stages, but moved up with a rush in "the last furlong aud won going away. Variety ran in forward contention for the first half and tired on the stretch turn, hut came again in the last seventy yards and was a game, but lucky, second. Lori-nuT closed a gap and ran into the lead in the stretch, but swerved in the last furlong and Impeded Georgia Gill and Male Fletcher, then stayed long enough to save third place. Georgia Oirl, in close quarters in the stretch, was forced back and suffered much from interference. Ansonia closed a big gap and finished fast. Maie Fletcher suffered from crowding, but showed speed and ran a good race. Una showed the most early speed, but tired after going a half. Tea Leaf quit badly after going five furlongs. Emergency held on well for the first half and had no serious opposition for third place. Moyea showed early speed, but quit after going three furlongs and Killochan was always a distant trailer. Flavigny lacked early speed and did not gain much in the stretch run. Miss Mazzoni tired in the last quarter. Dunn, after suffering tiom much interference, came with a rush through the stretch. Lady Oakland, in early trouble, closed a big gap and finished gamely. Docile, a slow beginner, had scant chance here. Anna Day was knocked about considerably in the last quarter, but can do better. Denigre quit after going a mile.
