The latter, also away fast. raa a good race and but for going wide on the turn might have won. Maritza. aided by a good ride, was i:t torward contention from the start and stayed well in the closing drive. Cuban Boy finished fast. Rose-bnrg II.. caught in a wedge at the start, closed a big gap and, with better luck, would have been closer up. Tony W. ran a good race. Ned Carmack tired in the last sixteenth. Bucking Boy showed improved form under good riding, followed Ben Sand close up for the first half and tired in the last furlong. Ben Sand showed the most speed for the first half and finished gamely, but tiring. Padrone ran fairly well and will improve. Stoneinan had a r« ugh trip and can do much better. Tarquin came from a long way b?.ek in the stretch. Orlaudot was knocked back in the first half. The winnei was entered for 00; no bid.
