FOUR OF THE LEADING WINNING STABLES. Aggregate of Money Won by J. E. Widener, F. R. Hitchcock. W. Walker and H. B. Duryea. The Philadelphia turfman. J. K. Widener. was decidedly successful with his jumpers last year. and his good flat racer. Sir Lyunewood. more than paid his way. His best winner was EI Cuchillo. which started but three times and won the Greater New York Steeplechase. Saratoga Steeplechase and ICmpire State Steeplechase, and had an unbeaten record for the year. His elder brother. Coligny. won. among other races, the Champion Steeplechase, the most valuable jumping race of the American turf. The money earnings of the stable for the reu were as follows: Horse. Sts. 1st. 2d. 3d. R. Hitchcock did remarkably well last year. Mis reliable handicap horse. Dandelion, was his main money earner, but in taking the Great Kilty Stakes, his two- ear-old filly. Walker, now being raced in California, won an Aggregate in 1907 not to be despised by any owner. Edwin Gum was his principal winner, with ,095, and the speedy two-year-old.
