•I e I e o r be e i MANY HORSES AT LONG ISLAND TRACKS. It is estimated that nearly l,3oo race horses are spending the winter at the different Long Island tracks. A majority of them are at Gravesend and Sheepshend Bay. where the trainers have been keep-n ing them in excellent health by means of shod exercise or short gallops on the track and road. The recent snowfall has not deterred some of the trainers from taking their charges out as Usual, as the surface of the tracks has not been hardened Iu auy way.
