IMPROVEMENTS FOR TRAINING TRACK. Superintendent Cram of the Oakland track is planning to improve the training track the coming summer by removing the muck-like soil from the upp-.-r turn, whieh is dangerous in its present condition, and filling in with crushed stone and sand on a broken stone foundation. This will give a sandy surfaee throughout of the same sort as now exists through the stretches, which has been found satisfactory for wet weather us.
