Servicence, from a fast start, dashed into the lead on the turn and was never seriously menaced in the stieich run. The Slicker, after going wide, closed a big gap and finished gamely under punishment. Trnppe broke in front, but was quickly outpaced and was tiring near the end. Columbus, showing much improvement, was prominent throughout and almost got up for- third place. Edwin L., away slowly, had to overcome interference and ran a good race. Prefix finished fast. The Thorn, away forwardly and running to his best form, followed Risk closely until well straightened out for the stretch run, where he came fast and won drawing clear. Risk had a slight advantage at the Marl and, showing the most early speed, set a stiff pace, but tired in the stretch and swerved to the iiiifi rail in the deepest going. Dick Rose, away slowly, closed a big gap and. finishing fast, ran a good van-. Financier ran a bad race and can do much lietter. Ed Kane, away slowly and suffering from interference, ran fairly welL Padrone was knocked back soon after the start. Hostile Hyphen had no mishap* and ran a bad race. Rose of Pink was a prominent contender all the way, but tired slightly tic ur the end. Mazonia, going wide throughout, closed a gap and would have been much closer up with a stronger ride. Tyrolian, after following the early leaders to the stretch, took the lead, but quit badly in the last furlong. Suffice ran a good half and tired. Lightburn was knocked back on the stretch turn. French Nun had no mishaps, was always close up and outstayed Lady Ethel in the closing si rides. Lady Ethel was always prominent in the running and. with a stronger rider, would have been seeond. Moselle, almost thrown in the first quarter, was forced to go wide and ran a good race. Clara Huron quit after going a good three-quarters. Grace Larsen had a rough trip. Platoon, from a fast Intituling, was in close pursuit of Fancy Dress for a quarter, then took the lead, but tired in the last furlong. Miss Sain, practically left at the post and taken in the worst going for the first half, finished gamely and ran a good race. Cablegram lacked early speed and finished well, but can do much better. Dew of Dawn ran into prominence early, but quit in the stretch. Fancy Dress showed much speed for a half and tir«- l. Overweights -Cablegram, 3 pounds. Handzarra showed the most eariv si»eed, but quit badly in the last sixteenth. The others were always outpaced. Creel showed si»eed. but tired when he was taken into the soft going in the stretch. Gracchus quit in the last half. Louise Macfarlan closed a big gap in the last half.
