THINKS NEW YORK RACING IS SAFE While on n visit to Millstream Stud near Lex ¬ ington Ivy a few days ago to inspect his horses there Andrew Miller said saidThis This country at this time of the year is simply rand and our horses well we are glad that we did not sell out the stud last fall even though Governor Hughes is trying his level best to kill the grand sport of racing Do I think he will suc ¬ ceed Hardly He has played his strongest cards against us and Itis not to be expected that a spe ¬ cial session of the legislature will do more than was done at the regular session sessionHis His utterances since the voting on the measure in tho senate have made him no friends among the senators who opposed1 the bill and there is a chance that some who voted for the Agnew bill rather more because of a feeling that their support should be given to the governor for personal or political rea ¬ sons thau because of genuine opposition to the sport as it has been conducted for twelve years under the PercyGray law will desert him if there Is to be another vote In holding mass meetings It is my opinion that he has lost rather than gained
