DAN LAMASNEY KILLS HIMSELF HIMSELFBurlington Burlington Iowa August 1 Daniel Lamasncy one of tl e oldest and most widely known turfmen ot the United States committed suicide yesterday In a lonesome place on his brotherinlaws farm In the vicinity of this city Lamasney in partnership with a brother or alone had raced thoroughbreds for more than thirty years and in the course ot that long period had become a familiar figure on nearly all the race tracks of the country although confining his racing mostly to the west and south He was sixtyfour years of age and a native of Missouri Despondency because of illhealth is said to have caused the fatal act
