Lens ran in much Improved form, was restrained for a half and. moving up with a rush in the stretch, wore Marbles down and won drawing clear. Marbles showed the most early speed and raced Bitter Sir into defeat, but tired slightly in the final drive. Merrick ran well and had no mishaps, but was not good enough. Barnsdale found the first three too speedy. Bitter Sin ran well to the stretch and tired. The last three were always outpaced. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Lady Ethel forced and set a fast pace throughout, but tired slightly in the final drive after ap-l- aring a certain winner. Mattie Mack had no mishaps, ran well and finished gamely. Maid Militant came from far back in the last quarter and finished with a rush. Aunt Rose, stiff and sore when going t the post, ran a good three-quarters before tiring. McMillan safe in the. final drive. John E. McMillan ran a good race and but for being sharply impeded on the stretch turn hv Macias would lu.ve won.
