Animus outbroke the others and set the pace under pressure for seven furlougs and succumbed finally, but was a game second. Okenite. away slowly, lost ground early and closed a big gap in the last half into a fast going, but belated, third. Imitator, pulling up from Interference on the first turn, made up ground at the end under a bad ride. Golconda, well up for the first half, dropped out in the stretch. Milford, away badly, trailed for six furlongs, then gained rapidly. Faust showed superior speed for six furlongs and quit badly. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
