Start poor. Won easily: second and third driving. Gus Helm followed the leaders to the stretch, where he slipped through on the inside and. finishing fast, caught Endymion tiring and won going away. Endymion showed much speed for a half mile before he tired and hed on gamely. Soil dashed to the front at the start and opened up a commanding lead, but quit after going three furlongs and was driving hard at the end to stall off Boz. The latter ran away and galloped three miles while on his way to the post, then ran a good race. King Commoner closed a big gap and tired. Babble and Puddin showed speed and failed to stay. The latter came again at the end and would have been second in a few more strides. Youthful was caught in a jam at the start and met with repeated interference and ran a good race. The Wrestler outbroke the others and showed extreme speed for seven furlongs, but was tiring at the end. Gridiron was outrun all the way, but finished gamely and outstayed Berkeley at the end.
