JAMESTOWN GIVEN A BOOM. New York, November 18. A rumor is current to the effect that certain members of the Jockey Club here -may secure control of the Jamestown track in Virginia, which can be had for 00,000. It Is reported that In case racing is not attempted in New York State next year, the Jockey Club will govern a long meeting at ,the Virginia track in order to keep the sport alive. Three years ago several promoters who were not in favor built the Jamestown tract, but they were unable to secure the sanction, of the Jockey Club, so were compelled to run an "outlaw" meeting. Last season, however, conditions here were much different and Jamestown readily received a license.
