Free Knight the Bear tired into a distant third in the last sixteenth after going well for a half mile. Brennus showed speed and finished gamely under the whip. Yankee Daughter fiuished with a great rush after making up much ground. The Peer closed up ground steadlly in the final eighth, finishing fast. Lucky Mate showed speed, but was done an eighth out. The latter moved up like a Hash after passintc the far turn and swung wide to the center of the track when entering the stretch and finished fast and gaining. Skyo was a forward contender to the stretch and tired suddenly when the pinch came, probablv being short. Warner Griswell ran fairly well for three-quarters. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
