Roseburg II.. crowded back at the start, closed a big gap and. finishing gamely, out stayed Halifax. The latter outbroke the others, but was unable to open up his usual big gap. The latter began slowly and was carried wide on every turn, but finished witli a rush. Chief Hayes was sharply cut off on the turn into the homestretch. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
