Del Cruzador, fresh aud good, dashed into an early lead and displayed brilliant speed throughout, winning slightly eased up. Enfield, in a sharp last sixteenth drive, proved a better stayer than Osorine. The latter was under the whip all of the final eighth and tired only in the closing strides. Dredkln was in close quarters next to the rail all of the final hundred yards and could not get through. Little Flush ran a cracking good race, finishing with a rush. Cool raced John C. Rice into defeat in the first half and loomed up like the winner, but tired suddenly in the closing strides. Ardis ran a good race and finished gamely. John C. Rice showed the most early speed, but tired. Friar of Elgin ran away seven furlongs on the way to the post. The winner was entered for : no bid. Lee Harrison II., in a long stretch drive, finished fast. Hannibal Bey finished with a rush. Free Knight the Bear tired only in the last seventy-five yards and was cut off sharply on the far turn. First Peep tired badly in the last sixteenth after a mile of early contention. Redgauntlet fell away fast after entering the stretch and was always outpaced. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. The latter showed the most speed for one and an eighth miles, but tired when the pinch came. Nattle Bumppo, in a long stretch drive next to the rail, finished gamely. Henry O.. cut off badly on the far turn, came fast in the stretch. Miss Lida ran poorly. Ed Ball went well for a mile. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Overweights Ouardl. 22 pounds.
