HEASLIP READY FOR ACTION. New Orleans, La.. .December 26. Samuel F. Heaslip, president of the New Orleans Jockey Club, will stand trial on the charge of violating the Locke anti-gambling law without resorting to technicalities, according to a statement given out today after tendering his resignation as head of the racing organization. "I will demand an immediate trial, and ask the court to try my case Independently." he said. "I want my case to stand on Its merits and the question of technicality will play no part."
