DISAGREEABLE DAY AT TERRAZAS PARK Dust Storm Interferes with Comfort of Spectators and Favorites Make Poor Showing El Paso Tex February 2 A high wind prevailed at Terrazas Park today and blew clouds of dust aliout the course to the discomfort of the public Only one favorite out of six Martin W Littleton got home In front Bill Bramble Malitine and Meddling Hannah were outsiders that displayed con ¬ spicuously improved form The sudden rejuvenation of the Lazarus filly was attributed to the use of the socalled rogues badge hood and blinkers with which she was equipped on this occasion while Meddling Hannahs change for the better was said to be due to the climatic conditions i Everything taken into consideration the Bedeck fillys six fur ¬ longs in 1125 was extra good goodPajaroitas Pajaroitas victory in the handicap was one of the pleasing incidents of the afternoons sport Page handled the Bedwell gelding more effectively than Shilling had previously done and the spectators ap ¬ plauded him liberally for his line jockeysliip Page was so much encouraged bv his success on Pajarolta that he went on and won the two remaining races on the card with IMeddling Hannah and Pellcasi Of the many good things which failed to materialize Lanigan Bob Lynch and iMauretaiila finished good seconds while Busy Man held forth in the rear throughout Trainer Kiruy as cxiftrimeutlng with a novice jockey on his horse and the results proved disastrous disastrousLittle Little Dicks poor showing in the twoyearold race was due to a case of bucked shins shinsPelleas Pelleas was bid up from 200 to 400 by J W Parker after winning the last race and was bought in by the owner ownerAt At Mondays paddock sale of horses at Juarez the threeyearold Pirate of Penzance filly Glen Helen winner of two races at the meeting brought the top price and was bought by J It Wainwright for 1000 Mr Wainwright also bought Odd Kose for WOO John Marklein paid 000 for Interpose while Sanguine went to S X Holman for 200 These four horses were placed on sale by Max Hlrsch the Xew York turfman who is disposing of all his horses in order to give his undivided attention to the stable of Alberto Terrazas and Price McKinney McKinneySeveral Several horses belonging to Koine Respess were sold while others were withdrawn for lack of bids Those disposed of were Cathryn Scott which went for 230 and the twoyearolds Dreamy and Ivory ilale which brought 110 and 105 respectively Those offered and withdrawn woru AleNully nlui Hampant a twoyearold II G BedWell gave 875 for Lady Panchita one of the most consistent fillies at the track The horses belonging to the estate of the late Captain John Ilackett were withdrawn after Fairmont the first horse offered failed lo bring a reasonable bid Paddock Judge J L Hall acted as auctioneer
