SALLY PRESTON, off forwardlv. ran in close pursuit ot the pacemakers to the stretch turn, then went to the front and dtw away decisively. DOROTHY WEBB was hard ridden from tide start and was a game contender all the war. BAMBBO outbroke the others and set a fast pace, but tired 111 the h stretch. SIGHT broke slowly and closed a big gap. KINO AVONDALE seemed unable to improve his position at any stage. The winner was entered for oo; no Ind. STELLA LAND fenced well and finished gamely under punishment. DR. KOCH wore the tiring T,ASS LEADER down and heat him out for third place in the closing stride. LIMPET finished witli a rush after iKing taken wide when entering the homestretch and would have won in another stride. TRFSTKE ran a food race under inefficient riding. TOM HAYWARD, running in suddenly improved form, wore the leaders down on the far turn and. after a sharp drive, dismised of RAGMAN in the stretch racing. RAGMAN showed a fine turn of speed in settiug the pace, but tired when challenged. TONY BONERO was sharply cut off when he attempted to come through on the inside in the stretch and would probably have won but for this. PLAFDMORK tired after going a half mile and was eased up at tin- end. Scratched— 90559 Lady Esther, 100. Overweights — Tom Haywarrt. 1 pound: Detroit. 5.
